If you are looking for an Ofsted registered nursery in the FY3 area, we are perfectly located on Whitegate Drive to the east of the town centre. But there is far more to our appeal than location alone.

A smart parent doesn’t just want a place for their children to be safe and looked after while they are working or doing other important things; the ideal kindergarten will play a major role in helping youngsters explore and develop, fulfilling their potential and arriving in primary school with better skills and more socially advanced than many other children.

Discussing what makes the ideal kindergarten, Scholastic.com listed several elements that make for the best kindergarten experience.

Self-esteem is one of these. The self-image your child has will come from many things, not least how they are treated and spoken to at home. But they will undoubtedly gain from positive vibes and achievements, such as the completion of tasks at kindergarten.

Cooperation is another skill they will learn from being around other children, while kindergarten should also foster a natural love for being curious and learning.

Ideally, it noted, kindergarten activities should involve smaller groups rather than large ones to create more interaction and develop learning, organising and problem-solving skills, while combining activities initiated by teachers with those started by children.

Others may highlight different or additional elements when considering how a good kindergarten should flourish. This could include aspects like ensuring all the cultures represented there are included (a good thing for community relations, tolerance and understanding), as well as respecting children’s ideas.

What we seek to do is foster a great spirit of learning and discovery, tapping into children’s natural curiosity, the nature around them, as well as the health benefits of fresh air and outdoor play when the weather allows.

Above all, we know that it is in a setting that combines education with socialising that youngsters can learn about things, people and ideas, helping set them up for the important years ahead.
